Session Overview

Covid-19 has had an effect on everything and everyone during this global pandemic. Unfortunately, speech and language development is no exception. With the constant wearing of facial masks, reduced schooling, online schooling, and parental stress, there has certainly been an impact on these skills in preschool and school-aged children. During this webinar, Stacey will briefly discuss some of these impacts and then move on to provide practical strategies that can be used at home to help improve speech, language, and reading development. This 1-hour presentation is for parents of preschool and school-aged children and will be followed by a 30-minute question and answer period.

Stacey Knecht is a busy mom of 2 daughters and a speech-language pathologist with a private pediatric practice in Montreal Quebec. She is also a proud teacher at the McGill University School of Communication Sciences and Disorders. With almost 20 years of experience in the field, Stacey believes strongly in early intervention and has a passion for empowering parents with the tools that they need to help strengthen their child’s speech and language skills at home.
