Life Skills Coaching
Finding Your Path, One Step at a Time
Life Skills to Help You Succeed
Achieving success isn’t easy. But feeling frustrated or directionless now doesn’t mean that a fulfilling life is out of your reach. Through the MCLD’s Life Skills Coaching program, you’ll be equipped with the skills and knowledge you need to put your struggles behind you and achieve your goals.
Through this one-to-one in-person coaching program, you’ll gain a clearer understanding of your learning disability and how to manage it through coping strategies and the latest assistive technologies. By identifying and focusing on your strengths, the program will help you build up your confidence, giving you the self-esteem to overcome past doubts and disappointments.
From time management and social skills, to self-advocacy and job hunting strategies you’ll be introduced to a wide range of life skills areas. And with guidance from a coach who has overcome her own challenges with a learning disability, you’ll be supported at every stage of your journey to success.
As well, there is support for the parents of adult children with learning disabilities.
This free program is available exclusively to members of the MCLD. Sessions are held at the Queen Elizabeth Heath Center.
