MCLD Presents:

FREE Annual Comedy Night

It’s back. And it’s better than ever.
Because not even a pandemic can stop a good cause.

Who’s Bringing The Laughs?

Scott Faulconbridge

From CBC Radio to the silver screen, he’s a one-man comedy sensation that you absolutely can’t miss. Across North America and abroad, where he goes, his shows sell out.

  • Canadian Comedy Award Nominee for Live/Best Male Stand Up
  • Heidi Foss

You’ve heard her riffs on the smash-hit CBC series This Hour Has 22 Minutes, now catch the live and unfiltered deadpan brilliance of Canada’s award-winning queen of comedy.

  • Canadian Comedy Award Winner for TV/Best Writing in a Series
  • Canadian Comedy Award Nominee for Live/Best Female Stand Up
  • David Pryde

If you love a clever gag, you’ll love David Pryde. His cerebral brand of humour has taken him worldwide and earned him writing gigs for The Onion and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.

  • Just for Laughs Comedy Night Winner
  • 3x Canadian Comedy Awards Nominee
  • Martha Chaves

Celebrated coast-to-coast for her comedy tours and CBC specials, Martha is an actress, a playwright, an LGBTQ activist - and the host of this year’s Annual Comedy Night Fundraiser.

  • Canadian Comedy Award Winner for Best Standup Comic
  • Canadian Comedy Award Nominee for Live/Best Female Stand Up
  • Stand Up For A Cause

We could all use a laugh right now, and with this year’s Annual Comedy Night featuring a who’s who of Canadian comedic royalty, you’re in for a full hour of non-stop side-splitting fun*.

But you know what’s better than ordinary fun? Fun that makes a difference, and this event makes a big difference in the lives of children and adults with learning disabilities (LDs). So save the date and tune in for an evening of sardonic silliness and wisecracking wit. It’ll put a smile on your face – and on the faces of everyone in the LD community.

*For grown-up audiences. If you have kids, they should probably sit this one out 😉

    We’re Creating Change

The road of life can be bumpy when you live with a learning disability, but the Montreal Centre for Learning Disabilities (MCLD) is paving a smoother path forward by listening, understanding, and building awareness around LDs.

With children’s programs that create stability and success, life skills programs that help adults discover meaningful employment and healthy relationships, plus ambassadorship that breaks down barriers, the MCLD’s volunteers are tirelessly working to change what it means to have a learning disability.

“I’ve been to the MCLD’s Annual Comedy Night for 3 years in a row, and I swear it just gets better every year. The lineup of performers changes, but the energy they bring is just so incredible every single time.”
