Things You May Not Be Doing to Relieve Your Stress!

(Présentation en anglais)

Les moyens que vous ne prenez peut-être pas pour soulager votre stress!

Speaker:

Pam Wener is a retired early childhood educator. She has been an MCLD board member for over twenty-five years and continues to be involved in the field of special education. For ten years she has been a Certified Laughter Leader with World Laughter, doing workshops on the health benefits of laughter with a variety of audiences, from psychiatric patients to special needs adults. Pam is a member and scholarship winner (2011) of AATH, the Association for Applied Therapeutic Humour. For the past four years she has been doing stand up comedy at various “open mikes’ in the Montreal area.

Topic:

In this session, Pam will outline some of the research that covers the specific stress of parents with special needs children. This is an interactive, experiential workshop that introduces some of the history and research about the benefits of laughter, from the classroom to the boardroom. Parents will walk away with strategies that they can implement and teach their children to cope with everyday stresses.
